About Crunchyroll

Problems fueling negative user experience

On a friday evening, I was on Crunchyroll searching for a new anime to watch. Casually browsing, I came across the alphabetical listing page which was painful to look at small details of content that were surrounded with noisy background. As I explored more of the platform, I found more problems.

  1. Outdated user interface
  2. Hard time reading the content
  3. Poor video streaming experience

Addressing problems with simple, visually pleasing user interface.

When users like myself who likes to scan content visually, a clear, strong visual heirarchy is critical in creating a positive user experience.
